Patrol Division patrolThe Patrol Division is the 'front line' unit of the Sheriff's Department. These men and women patrol the highways, roads and subdivisions throughout the 632 square miles of Lincoln County. While patrolling is a large part of a deputy's day, they are also responsible for answering emergency calls and calls for service. In 2006 officers responded to nearly 30,000 calls for service. Patrol deputies pride themselves on their commitment to the community. They are constantly aware of their surroundings and make note of changes in the community, which is a vital part of good policing. Patrol deputies need your help too! If you become aware of a situation that needs their attention please contact the Patrol Division commander or use the feedback link to the left to let us know about it. The Patrol Division is commanded by Captain Greg Houdyshell. Captain Houdyshell can be reached at: ghoudyshell@lcsdmo.com. The Patrol Division is organized into four squads which are headed by two Lieutenants and four Patrol Sergeants.
