The Jail Division is responsible for the daily needs of pre-trial and post-trial detainees. Those responsibilities include: Daily hygiene needs, banking, food service, laundry service and medical needs.

In 2007, the Lincoln Coounty Jail undertook the monumental task of gaining accreditation through the American Corrections Association (ACA). Making it one of the only 'medium' sized jails to seek accreditation.

Since 2002, the Jail Division has returned well over eight million dollars to the General Revenue fund of Lincoln County. This was accomplished by housing detainees for the US Marshall's Service, Immigration and Naturalization Service and several municipal agencies.
